The second session for the 20 NPQSL candidates on Closing the Gap took place yesterday at Highworth Grammar School. Once again, all participants enjoyed the day and went off ready to tackle their school improvement assessment task.
Electives will take place on 11 March and 29 April 2015 with Denise Danielsen and Lesley Donald leading these sessions.
A highly successful session on Behaviour Management was held at Aldington Eco Centre on Tuesday 13 January with specialist Peter Hobbs. All NQTs found the session to be of great value and are ready to put his excellent strategies into practice. The next session is Friday 13 March on Assessment for Learning.
Achievement through Arts
Excitement mounts as the final performance day for our Achievement through Arts project draws near on the 2 February. The first rehearsal day takes place on Friday 16 January with the six primary schools working with professionals from Ashford and London to finalise their carnival performance. Fantastic artefacts - birds, dragons, crowns, wings - have been created in readiness for the big day!
Teacher Assistant Training
Our very popular TA Training continues at Downs View and Willesborough Infant Schools. All delegates are looking forward to the final sessions which will be completed by early February.
Our Research Champion, Ben White, is busy organising the next Symposium on 19 March and various Twilight sessions after his well-attended first Symposium on 2 December.
